Amalie Quilt - Part 2
This pattern from GE Designs utilizes 10” squares, background fabric and offset triangles to create an interesting piece with a lot of movement This is a two day class which will allow for time to make, alter and trim the blocks. The second class will meet on February 26th. Confident beginner & up.

About the event
One layer cake is enough to make either the crib or the lap size quilt as long as the package has 42 squares. You will need 24 squares for the crib size and 42 squares for the lap size. I will be focusing on the lap size in class but the pattern comes with instructions for a twin, full, queen or king. If you are interested in making a larger size then contact me for the fabric requirements.
In an addition to a sewing machine with a 1/4” foot, you will need the following materials to make the lap size quilt.
42 - 10" squares
Background fabric - 1 yard
Binding - 1/2 yard
Backing - 2 1/2 yards
Stripology squared or an 8 1/2" square ruler
If you google this pattern you will see a wide variety of fabrics used as welll as background fabric ranging from white to red, black, blue and green so take a look before purchasing your materials. Please let me know if you have any questions when choosing fabrics.
