Gift/Small Project Day - stashbusters
Join me for a day of demos during which you will have the opportunity to sew several small projects/gifts. The demos will include: mug rugs, hexagonal coasters, silicone trivets, ornaments, and an assortment of zippered bags. You will leave with several finished projects and plenty of ideas!

About the event
There will be demos throughout the day with plenty of time in between for you to make some or many of the projects. The silicone trivet can be made with or without a hand opening and is heat resistant up to 450 degrees. The octagonal coasters can be made from 5" squares. The mug rugs can be made with scraps of any size, preferably smaller strips, and is a quilt as you go project. The bowl cozy and the triangle bags can be made with 10" squares. I have plenty of batting scraps. The potholders really should be made with Insulbright or another insulated batting.
You will need to bring:
- A sewing machine in good working order
- A walking foot
- An all purpose foot for zigzag stitches.
- A 1/4" quilting foot
- Fabric scraps of various sizes and colors - all of these projects are on the smaller size
- Zippers of various sizes (6" - 12")
- Thread for topstitching
- Rulers - smaller if you have them
- Stripology squared (if you have it)
- Rotary cutter
