In this two day class we will make four different types of diamond blocks that will be framed and assembled along the diagonal. Two of the four block types really showcase larger prints. We will discuss fabric choices and placement in the first class. The second class will be on January 15th.

About the event

In this class you will create a beautiful quilt with diamond shaped blocks.  Color and fabric choices will be important.

The supply list below is for a crib size quilt top. If you are interested in making one of the larger sizes please consult the pattern for the necessary yardage or contact me for more information.

Supply List:

  • Set Sail pattern
  • 9 Fat Quarters
  • Background (setting) fabric - 1 ⅝ yard
  • Super Sidekick ruler OR 2 - 8” x 12” pieces of template plastic to make templates
  • Thread 
  • Rotary cutter
  • Cutting mat 
  • Sewing machine in good working order with a ¼” foot 
  • Seam ripper 
  • Pins or wonder clips
  • A stiletto may be useful
