Tiny Jewel Paper Piecing
In this class yoIn this class you will learn foundation paper piecing while making this mini quilt. The pattern includes options for multiple sizes, we will be making the 18”. Good for beginners as well as those with some paper piecing experience. It would make a nice wall hanging, pillow or bag.

About the event
This class is a great opportunity to learn how to paper piece or to improve your paper piecing skills. The pattern from Flying Parrot Quilts is really sweet and includes templates for both 12" and 9" blocks in addition to the 18" blocks that we will be working on.
If you do not have an Add A Quarter ruler I would highly recommend one. The cost is an additional $8.50.
You will need
Background fabric - 1/2 yard
Assorted scraps for the hummingbird body (I will have a bucket of scraps for use as well)
Backing - 5/8 yard
Binding - 1/8 yard
Note: if you plan on making a pillow, bag, etc. the backing and binding amounts will be different
You will also need a working sewing machine
Rotary cutter and blades
Small cutting mat (I will have some available for you to use as well)
Small travel iron and wool pad if you have them (I will have some available as well)
